On September 20th, the School of Humanities held a theme education and learning activity in the conference room 119 of Yinglu, with the theme of “Don't forget the original intention, remember the mission”. Yin Weiwei, deputy secretary of the Youth
League Committee of the School of Humanities, Xu Lili, a counselor, student party
members, and student union officials of the Youth League Committee participated in
the event. At the meeting, all members watched the first episode of the large-scale documentary film We Are on the Road-The Birth of New China. The film is guided by Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The 70-year-old Chinese Communist Party has led the people of all nationalities in the socialist revolution, construction, and reform to achieve brilliant achievements and valuable experience. Touching stories and important events, showing the magnificent epic written by hundreds of millions of people on the road of socialism, is an excellent work for the general audience to understand the development of new China. The first episode of The Birth of New China shows the great spirit of the struggle and sacrifice of countless people with lofty ideals in modern times and the unremitting struggle of the Communist Party of China in leading the revolutionary war for 28 years. The People's Liberation Army went all the way down, triumphantly advanced, and the KMT regime was overthrown; Democrats gathered in Peiping to discuss the country; Mao Zedong published On the People's Democratic Dictatorship, which systematically expounded the Communist Party's concept of New China; The Program discussed and determined the country name, national flag, and national anthem; the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was officially adopted. The founding ceremony on October 1 opened a new era in Chinese history.
After the watching, Teacher Yin contacted daily life and advised students not to forget the history and the original heart, always keep the spirit of struggle and revolution, dare to fight, be good at fighting, be brave to overcome all kinds of difficult obstacles, risks and challenges. The appearance of university youth helped to win the new victory of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Mr. Xu talked about the recent work related to the scholarship and bursary. I hope that the students will seriously study the spirit of the conference, do everything well, convey every message, treat the students responsibly, do not forget their original intentions, and keep in mind their own Mission, keep making progress, and open up the future. The students attending the meeting listened carefully and said that in the future they will uphold the spirit of do not forget their original heart, keep in mind the mission, do a good job in service, and contribute to the mission.
